Song #2

I sat on the opening line of this song for a long time before it finally took shape. It started out as just a piano song, but soon decided it wanted to be a bit more rock and roll. I had the idea realization that a certain someone I used to know was just making people miserable as a way of settling an old score. All teeth and claws, she was.
This is also the 'radio edit' because the original has a very prominent 'f**k' in it. But i figured best to err on the side of caution here in the beginning.

Song #2 is called: Black Heart.

If you knew her, you would agree.

I love the song. It's different from other music I listen to but that's why it's so cool.

Oh, and thanx for the comment!

Thanks for your lovely comment. Mangoes, eh? This one might just be something that I have to deal with in time, but if mangoes are your thing then more power to you. Thank you, though.

Loving the second song, lyrics are fantastic. Good job, good luck for this next week.

Well I certainly hope so, because the time spent trying to make it work was three years! You're a sweetheart, though. Thank you. I'm going to go buy some mangoes next week and then I'll have a mango fest and get my sweet-orange-goodness on.

Did I mention mangoes enough in this comment?

...mango.

Just popped by after the comments left on my blog (which are much appreciated). Checked out your songs and what can I say? They're fantastic, I was genuinely shocked at how good they were, the tunes, lyrics, vocals, everything was superb.

I'll be back to listen to any new stuff you put up.

Ash.

Creative way of spreading your music. It sounds great. I'd like to hear the original as I like prominent "f**ks" ;). Do you have a MySpace or are you totally anti? Mine is at /grandpoo. Good luck with the music!

I was trying to determine how it was that you might have happened by, whether it was random chance or whether, perhaps, there was a thread of commonality connecting us. I found Being John Malkovich as the most likely connector, and yet when I looked at your musical interests I suddenly realised how much great music I've forgotten about that I wondered if the thread was less visible. For someone who loves music the way I do it seems strange that my speakers are still packed, somewhere, in this mountain of boxes. But I look forward to finding them and connecting them- to connect with what you have posted. I want to hear it is what I am trying to say. And so I'll be back.

I like it ...you have definite talent, I look foreward for more. I found the link to your blog on vwsista's site. I am glad i visted and I will pass this on for others to hear.

dude, will listen to song for sure, don't have speakers right now :(

But the concept is cool, very different, can already see you in blogs of the week and other nice places, if you keep it going :)

Cheers to ya!

This is a really good song. Also in answer to your question on my blog: Interestingly enough, the word hell does not require a mature rating. I don't understand the logic behind it but i haven't yet found a way to argue out of it. so oh well.

I'll keep checking this out, I like your music!

Since you took the time to check out my blog (and I think you have the dubious honour of being the only one so far), I thought I'd come have a look at yours - and I'm so glad I did! Excellent song - I really enjoyed it and will probably come back to listen to it again.

thanks for commenting on my blog.

by the way, very catchy melody, didn't expect your voice to be like that based on your profile pic. aside from that your music and voice kinda reminds me of James Blunt's new stuff... and don't take it as an offense as I enjoy his music to a certain extent. I'm one for heavier stuff see...

Keep the effort up. I'm linking you on my site as I like what I'm hearing. =)

I promise to check out your songs when I get hold of a pooter with a soundcard!

I like the lyrics on this song and your voice is great. But something about the music/beat just seems off in some way to me. And I don't know enough about music to elaborate. Don't let that fact diminsh what I think of your talent, however. I just don't feel that instant harmony among lyrics, vocals, and music, as I did with your first song.

Hi! I liked this one a lot--It kinda reminds me of some of Matthew Sweet's older stuff... Anyway, thanks for stopping by to check out my blog. And you've passed the crucial listener-test--I've added a link from there to here! :) Keep up the good work! I just happen to be a formally trained rock singer, so feel free look me up if you ever need a female vocal/harmony in the mix. Peace.
