song #8

Wow. I nearly went completely mental writing this song. I had about 10 different versions and think I lost a good bit of hair and sleep in the process, but, it's done! and I like it.
This is the close of the second month of One Song Per Week, and I really appreciate all of you who come back week after week to listen to this stuff. I especially want to thank the folks that have bought tracks off the site (not quite able to quit my job yet, but I was this close to being able to buy a bottle of wine last month).
Also, The Second Month album should be up soon, and you can get those four songs for just $2.99 (sorry, I'm not Radiohead, I can't give 'em away...yet).

song #8 is called Satisfied

UPDATE! There is a new feature you might have noticed. From the little store below you can now purchase any of the songs I have posted so far for a mere $0.99 or buy the month for $2.99 OMG! So cheap!? Yep. It also goes to me and not some giant evil corporation. So don't be afraid of it!!!

Well, I've been checking here every 10 minutes since yesterday, and it finally paid off. I like this one. Not much more to say. Also, I promise that I'm going to buy all the tracks when I catch up on my personal finances (I think American Express has a hit out on me for not paying them for a while. ;P ) That will be something like next week or the week after. Good song.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I just got started. I had to check yours out as well, and I'm really glad I did.

From what I've read, you are your own record label? I actually work with my college radio station, and we're always looking for songs to put on the radio and bands to come play at our school.

This our school radio website

(I designed the art work). If you're interested, you can email me at kimbreypierce@gmail.com. Thanks, Kimbrey

Mmmm. I really like this. But now I'm dying of curiosity at all the versions that didn't make the cut.

I just drew a heart in the frost on my windowpane and wrote the title of this song in it (a fitting homage to your beautiful lyrics, don't you think?). :-)

Loved it -- I definetly came away "satisfied" this week, darlin.

Thanks for the thumbs up on my haiku page. I've been trying to get them published, but I can't get an agent, and a publisher won't even look at it unless it's solicited by a literary agent. If you ever make it, get your people to find me some people so I can do just that. I really want them in a book.

Ok, and awesome to Kimbrey for maybe getting you on college radio. Now, just make a viral video like OK Go, and you're all set.

I like how it picks up about halfway through! It might just be me, but I thought it sounded a bit too loud and "tinny" (for lack of a better word)..but still another great song.

:D

Oh yes, this does tug at my melancholy side. And isn't melancholy beautiful? People always mistake it for depression but melancholy is inspired sadness and depression is a medical condition! No doubt, much/all of your melancholy music is inspired by personal experiences. And what teaches us so much as sadness? Happiness and appreciation are so limited without that prior experience of sadness.

I hope you continue to feel motivated and inspired. Thanks, as always, for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us!

After all the good reviews, I feel awkward saying that it really didn't do it for me. There was just an indescribable something that didn’t feel right for me. But oh well.
